Puolustukseen vahvistusta!

Kanadalainen Nick Durajlija 26v vahvistamaan puolustusta.  Nick tuo JHT puolustukseen lisää jämäkkyyttä ja kiekollista perusosaamista. Kanadan juniorisarjojen kautta Amerikan sarjoihin siirtynyt puolustaja on pelannut neljä edellistä kautta NCAA III yliopistosarjaa.  

Mika Siipola – Puolustajaa etsitty koko syksy niin kuin moni muukin seura. Nyt Eetu Onikin loukkaantumisen myötä oli pakko reagoida tilanteeseen. Vaikea on vain saada näille leveysasteille houkuteltua sopivia vahvistuksia. Nick tarttui ennakkoluulottomasti tarjoukseen ja on matkalla jo Suomeen.

I grew up playing hockey in my home town of Hamilton, Ontario. I was drafted to the OHL at 16 years old and went on to play Jr. A in both Canada and the U.S. When I was 21 I committed to Albertus Magnus College NCAA D3, and played hockey there while I earned my Bachelor’s degrees.

After graduating I knew I wanted to play hockey in Europe and I was attracted to Finland because it’s one of the best hockey nations in the world. I first heard of the different Finish hockey leagues from my Finish roommate when I played in the NCDC. So when my Advisor mentioned that there may be a spot for me in Suomi-sarja with JHT, I knew that’s where I wanted to go.

Some of my career highlights are being drafted to the OHL, being an NCDC all-star and assistant captain for the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, and being named as a Division II/III AHCA Krampade All-American Scholar last year.

My goals for this season are to adapt to Finish hockey style and contribute to my new team while continuing to develop as much as possible.
